How Much Does Flooring Cost in Brisbane? — 2026 Price Guide

  • 3 min read

If you are renovating a Brisbane home in 2026, flooring is likely one of your biggest line items. Yet getting a straight answer on costs is surprisingly difficult — most guides either quote national averages that do not reflect Brisbane pricing, or give ranges so wide they are essentially useless.

This guide is specific to Brisbane. The prices below are what Reno Flooring actually charges for supply and installation across Greater Brisbane in 2026 — not averages from a national database.

These are supply-only prices from Reno Flooring's current range. Installation costs depend on subfloor conditions, room layout, and whether existing flooring needs removal. All pricing is quoted on site after a free in-home measure — the numbers above are realistic starting points, not bottom-of-the-range bait prices.

How much does flooring supply cost for a Brisbane home?

The supply cost is transparent and fixed. Installation is quoted on site after a free measure and quote — every home is different and subfloor conditions, room complexity, and access all affect the installation price. Here are supply-only cost estimates for common Brisbane home sizes in 2026:

•       2-bedroom unit or apartment (50-60m²) - Entry-level hybrid throughout — supply cost from $1,680 for 60m². Mid-range hybrid available. Installation quoted on site after free measure.

•       3-bedroom house (75-90m²) - Entry-level hybrid throughout — supply cost from $2,100 for 75m². Premium hybrid (HTT Duro 9.5mm) available. Installation quoted on site after free measure.

•       4-bedroom house (100-120m²) - Entry-level hybrid throughout — supply cost from $2,799 for 100m². Premium hybrid available. Installation quoted on site after free measure.

•       Investment property (any size) - HTT Guardian 6.5mm or BestPicks at $27.99-$28.99/m² supply is the most cost-effective waterproof choice. A 3-bedroom rental supply cost starts from approximately $2,100. Installation quoted on site.

What affects your total flooring project cost?

The supply price is fixed and transparent. Installation cost depends on your specific home and is always quoted on site after a free measure. The main factors that affect your total project cost:

•       Subfloor condition - Subfloor condition is assessed during the free in-home measure. We check for moisture, levelness, and any preparation requirements before quoting. This is why a free in-home measure is the only accurate way to get a total project cost.

•       Existing floor removal - Existing floor removal is assessed and quoted on site. Tile removal is significantly more — $25-$50/m² depending on adhesive type and slab condition. Avoiding tile removal by floating hybrid over the top is one of the best ways to reduce total project cost.

•       Room complexity - Rooms with lots of angles, alcoves, built-ins, and transitions take longer than square open-plan spaces. Straight-run open plan is the most cost-efficient layout.

•       Product type - Different products require different installation methods. The product you choose affects both the installation time and cost.

•       Access and stairs - Upper-storey installations requiring material to be carried up are quoted slightly higher. Stair nosings and stair installation are priced separately.

Why are Reno Flooring's prices lower than showroom competitors?

Reno Flooring operates from warehouses across Brisbane rather than retail showrooms on main roads. We do not have expensive street-facing tenancies, display stock turnover costs, or large showroom teams. Those savings are passed directly to customers — which is why we can genuinely beat any written quote from a showroom competitor by $1 per m², guaranteed.

The trade-off is that you visit us by appointment at the warehouse, or we come to you with samples as part of the free in-home measure and quote. Most customers prefer the in-home consultation because you see the product in your actual light conditions, against your real walls and furniture.

How to get an accurate Brisbane flooring quote

The most accurate way to get a Brisbane flooring price is a free in-home measure and quote. Reno Flooring will come to your home, measure every room, assess your subfloor conditions, and provide a fully itemised written quote — usually within 24 hours of the visit.

Book a free in-home measure and quote across all Brisbane suburbs — we come to you with samples, 7 days a week including evenings. Call 0412 345 076 or book at www.renoflooring.com.au/book-free-measure-quote
