Start with moisture
The first question is always: will this floor ever get wet? If the answer is yes — kitchen, bathroom, laundry, near a back door, coastal home, household with pets — you need a 100% waterproof product. That means hybrid flooring. Laminate and engineered timber are moisture-resistant on the surface, but neither is waterproof through the core. A single flood or persistent pet accident will destroy a non-waterproof floor.
Then consider traffic and lifestyle
High foot traffic, dogs, kids, and active households need a wear layer of at least 0.3mm . All of our hybrid ranges are built for this.
Then think about aesthetics and budget
